Window Cleaning & Detailing

I’m often asked what's the one thing every home owner should do to improve their house, and it’s professionally clean and detail windows. Glass is porous and often requires polishing to remove water and faecal stains, we always recommend detailing the window frames.

Fly screens and doors

Without exception we remove fly screens and doors on every home we prepare, often they look dated but more than that the screens diffuse natural light and make the homes feel darker. No new display home has flyscreens inserted for this very reason.

Window furnishings can be a sales contract killer, why?

Heavy set curtains and drapes not only cut out light and make the rooms feel smaller, they really do date the home in terms of style, colour and fashion.

Worse still big pelmets and cathedral curtains are massive dust and spider web collectors, certain blinds whether role up, pleated or French quickly age or bulk up window frames.

  

Remove heavy window treatments and let the light in, that closed in feeling is a distraction and prevents buyers seeing the true potential of your home.

Your goal is for buyers to appreciate the beautiful features of your home, to create an emotional connection, imagine themselves living there. this wont happen if they can’t see past heavy colours and dated decor.

Shutters, shades and blinds should only be kept in place if there's privacy issues, but it’s important that they are impeccably clean.
